The possibility of bringing the Olympics to Pacechester has brought on a lot of controversy to the village – especially considering that the mayor does not support bringing the Olympics to Pacechester.
Mayor Ah Soon believes that it would not be a good idea to bring the Olympics to Pacechester because of the village’s current situation with unsafe water and infrastructure.
According to a statement released by Pacechester 2020, the Olympics could possibly help Pacechester’s infrastructure and help local businesses with long-lasting effects.
Christopher Nocket, POPP’s (Protection of Pacechester People) chief donor has acknowledged the economical benefits of bringing the Olympics to Pacechester; however he does not support the Olympics in the long run.
“If I wanted to benefit extremely well in the short-term, then I would push for the Olympics,” said Nocket.
Nocket believes that bringing the Olympics to Pacechester would hurt the economy more than benefit it and used the example of the state it left Brazil in 2016.
Another concern that the community could possibly face is hooliganism or violent and destructive behavior during soccer events.
Since the recent fight that broke out at a soccer game, Mayor Ah Soon has made her stance on violence very clear:

Choate FC, the first all-female soccer team in Pacechester, has been actively searching for locations to build a stadium in, which has raised concerns of eminent domain.
However, Choate FC has made it clear that they want to prioritize locations that would not require people to be forced out of their family homes.
